BORDER AGENTS BUSTED FOR BOUNCING BUSTY SINGER
In an odd instance of border security that doesn’t involve exotic animals, drugs, racial profiling or the like, here is an instance of the border patrol as bar bouncers. When the singer Natalia Dzenkiv recently travelled home to the US from Turkey, she was held up for some time and questioned by rather aroused agents at passport control. She wasn’t acting suspiciously. She wasn’t flagged for security concerns. The rock star wasn’t suspected of smuggling, or of having the wrong friends. She was held and questioned as she looked too young for the age on the passport, which was suspected of belonging to someone else.

Her photos may not make it evident, and neither evidently did Natalia in person, but she is 41 years young, as they say. And that is precisely what got her into trouble, as agents believed she was 20 years younger than her passport indicated and assumed she was sneaking into the US using an older woman’s possibly doctored passport. But Natalia kept her sense of humor about the situation, especially when she realized the cause of her delay and being questioned.

SINGER LAUGHED WHEN SHE REALIZED THE PROBLEM
Which, as frustrating as it would have been at the time, is very flattering nonetheless. Natalia, who is better known as Lama, said: “When I found out the reason for my arrest, I even started laughing as it was [the] age in my passport. I am already used to compliments about the way I look, but I couldn’t have imagined that it might be a reason for detaining me.”

With no way of proving her identity otherwise, it was Natalia’s fans who came to the rescue when, recognizing her, several members of the public approached her asking for selfies and autographs.
Eventually she was allowed to pass through.
As for her secret to looking incredibly young for her age, fan Oleg Petrov added:
“She is vegetarian and only eats fruits and vegetables, this is why she looks so good.”
