SPACEX’S NEW STARLINK SELF-HEATING SATELLITE DISHES POPULAR AS OUTDOOR CAT LOUNGES
So most folks living in a city probably don’t know too much about satellite dishes. But there are a lot of them out there, especially where people can’t get any other signal access for TV and internet. And a great newcomer is SpaceX’s Starlink, which has its very own self-heating feature to prevent snow and ice from fragging the signal. People bought over 100,000 of them in 2021, which is a nice market share as a newbie. But one unforeseen (duh!) problem is that that self-heating feature makes these dishes as perfect outdoor lounges for cats.

PERFECT FOR CATS, THE STARLINK DISHES ARE POPULAR FELINE BEDS IN THE SUNSHINE
So far, there’s still just emerging feedback on cats’ use of the Starlink dishes as outdoor lounges in terms of service quality. Some have said the cats slow it down. But no tragedies yet, like missing the Superbowl or losing a remote update to DropBox. But the self-heating dishes are literally perfect for cats. For one, it’s an inconvenience and cats are assholes. And the self-heating feature almost guarantees any cat to come on by for a nice lounge outside in the sun. And speaking of the sun, that’s what makes it perfect for cats! The dish heats them from below, the sun from the top.

A NEW CAT-PICTURE MEME IN THE MAKING, STARLINK “OUTDOOR LOUNGERS” WILL KEEP SELLING
Sure, cats would be warmer inside. Who wouldn’t? They could stay in and watch TV or surf the internet, right? But really, the only solution I can see is for people to be sure to put their Starlink dishes somewhere that cats can’t easily access it. You know, like up on the roof? Duh. Because $500 is a lot to pay for an outdoor cat lounger, amirite? But this is sure to be a meme for years to come, as SpaceX keeps adding more and more satellites to improve their service. If SpaceX wants to keep innovating, maybe they should make a self-heating, all-weather cat lounger to compete for the Starlinks’ attentions.
