American Airlines Says Girl, 9, At Fault For Being Filmed in Bathroom

AMERICAN AIRLINES FLIGHT ATTENDANT FILMED YOUNG GIRLS IN BATHROOMS, DEFENSE BLAMES VICTIM

It’s always a challenge to be a parent and hear about a creep who victimizes kids.  After all, there’s a reason pedophiles are particularly appreciated in prisons all over the world.  But this story takes my own parental outrage to a whole other level, one that I didn’t know I could get to.  Because this story is about American Airlines blaming a young girl, aged 9, for being filmed surreptitiously in the bathroom on an airplane.  And, to make matters even worse, this blame game is a result of the girl’s family suing the airline because she was filmed by one of the airlines own flight-attendant.  And yes, that’s the very creep’s mugshot above.

AMERICAN AIRLINES BLAMES VICTIM AS DEFENSE, SAYING SHE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN HIDDEN CAMERA WAS THERE

So to recap, a 9-year-old girl finds a hidden camera in an American Airlines plane’s bathroom and this results in a lawsuit by the family.  The airline’s legal defense is to blame the young girl, saying she should have been aware she was being filmed, by a camera hidden by a flight attendant, 37-year-old Estes Carter Thompson III.  But making me even more outraged is learning that the flight attendant had made recordings of at least 4 other young girls, aged 7, 9, 11 and 14.  So the girl-as-plaintiff was merely the first victim to notice the camera, and the airline’s defense is to blame her for being filmed?

AMERICAN AIRLINES DEFENSE IS TO BLAME THE VICTIM OF A PEDOPHILE EMPLOYEE?

Aaaand, to make it even more disgusting, the flight attendant had been to approach the young girls waiting for an economy class bathroom and direct them to a first-class bathroom, the one he had set up the camera in.  In other words, it wasn’t just a crime of random opportunity, but a crime of deliberate, crafted intent.  Somehow, I’m guessing this defense, blaming a young girl for being filmed in a bathroom by a hidden camera placed by an employee of the airline, isn’t going to do all that well, in court but definitely the court of public opinion.

Disgusting.  Fly anyone else besides American Airlines.
