As you know, Fancy Alexandersson and her event team attended this year’s Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. It was a memorable time, but Park City is so much more than just Sundance. When the stars, the industry people and all the festival’s guests leave after the busy “sundancing,” silence and peacefulness sets up behind them, and the town goes back to basics. New tourists come to experience the calm atmosphere to relax and forget about work and the reality.
This beautiful small town is the home of three world-known ski resorts; Canyons Resort, Park City Mountain and Deer Valley Resort. People from all over the world also travel here to visit Utah Olympic Park, where some of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games were held. Aside from spending time skiing and snowboarding on the slopes, Park City has a lot of other fun things to offer winter time such as snowmobile and sleigh rides, snow tubing, skating and more.
After a full day of physical outdoor activities, Park City has a great selection of restaurants to fill the hungry stomach. There are more than 100 restaurants with all types of cuisines. Read about the restaurants I visited during my Sundance trip here.
For the optimal winter vacation you need a nice place to stay. Park City has great lodging at luxury hotels and mansions with breathtaking views over the startling mountains, but my favorite spot is Montage Deer Valley.

I was invited to experience Spa Montage for a treatment during my stay in Park City, and I enjoyed every single minute. The Spa interior is luxurious and soothing, and the overall experience was absolutely harmonious. It helped me to disconnect from the very busy Sundance week and let myself have a peaceful break. My experience was culminated with a 90-minute massage by super-professional therapist Christine. The massage technique was different and unbelievably comfortable even though she managed to work out those knots!
After my massage, I relaxed for hours at the shared swimming pool and jacuzzi that offered a beautiful view from the balcony and finished with sauna, steaming room and jacuzzi in the women’s locker room. It was well-needed, and I highly suggest a retreat at Montage Spa.
