Anthony Wiener Now a Convicted Felon for Text Banging Underage Girl

ANTHONY WIENER CONVICTED FOR SEXTING MINOR, AND THAT’S NO BOLOGNA

Here is another installation of a massive fall from grace.  Or, at least, what the public all too often assumes is grace until grossly proven otherwise.  Anthony Weiner was known as a former New York Congressman who had a huge upside in national politics and as a media…. figure.  He was also known as the husband of Huma Abedin, the Vice Chair of Hillary Clinton’s Presidential Campaign. Now he is a convicted felon for sexting with an underage girl.

CREEPY BEHAVIOR GOES BACK YEARS IN PUBLIC EYE, BUT SEXTING A MINOR BEYOND THE PALE IN ANY LIGHT

Wiener (what’s in a name anyway?) was recently sentenced to 21 months in prison for sexting a minor.  The beginning of his fall dates back to 2011 when we learned that he tweeted a picture of himself wearing suggestive larger than life Wiener underwear.  Two years later in 2013 Wiener wienered some more after sexting a woman named Sydney Leathers (again, what’s with these names?).  Oh yeah, about those names- Wiener was sexting Leathers with the pseudonym “Carlos Danger.”  While we might question his judgement up until that point as a matter of poor taste, or scandal or whatever, Wiener’s actions with his wiener’s images weren’t illegal.

WIENER ENCOURAGED 15-YEAR-OLD TO ENGAGE IN LEWD CONDUCT ONLINE

But that changed when Weiner began sexting a 15 year old North Carolina high schooler. In these exchanges he called himself “T-Dog” and instructed her to participate in lewd sexual conduct.

Prosecutors said: “With full knowledge that he was communicating with a real 15-year-old girl, the defendant asked her to engage in sexually explicit conduct via Skype and Snapchat, where her body was on display, and where she was asked to sexually perform for him.”

WHEN NOT TO LET YOUR FINGERS DO THE WALKING, NOT WEINER WALKING THE PERP LIFE

He pled guilty to the charges and prosecutors asked for 21 to 27 months in prison. His attorneys said he was “sick” and asked for probation and therapy.

His inability to keep out of trouble may also have been partly to blame for the reopening of the Hillary Clinton “emailgate” investigation by the FBI, which ended up being brought back from the dead just 11 days before the election after emails from his wife, Huma Abedin, were found on Weiner’s laptop.

Shortly after the revelations of further sexting, Abedin filed for divorce and custody of their now 5 year old son. The divorce is still being finalized.
