KANSAS BABYSITTER GOES TO PROVE NO MONSTERS UNDER THE BED, BUT FINDS MAN HIDING
The old childhood fear that affected pretty much everyone as children is still a part of today’s children. You know, that there is a monster hiding under the bed. I vaguely remember having that fear myself, and a handful of times I mustered an insane bravery to look under the bed, upside down and from above by myself. But some kids punk out, and ask someone else to do that for them. That was certainly true for one kid in Kansas, who enlisted the help of their babysitter to give the all-clear: no monsters under the bed. But then things went a little sideways, when she found a man hiding there instead.

And yes, this really happened! According to local police, “One child complained there was a ‘monster’ under their bed. When the victim attempted to show the child there was nothing under the bed, she came face-to-face with a male suspect who was hiding there.” Can you imagine? Babysitters everywhere must be thinking twice about their easy side job. But the police then also said, “An altercation ensued with the babysitter and one child was knocked over in the struggle. The suspect then fled the scene before deputies arrived.” And that’s where all parents everywhere get that little panic feeling.

But in a better though not happy ending, police did manage to later catch the suspect the next morning after a foot chase and take him into custody. The suspect was one Martin Villalobos, Jr. The possibly a monster under the bed 27-year-old actually used to be a resident in the home. Now, he faces a few serious charges including, violation of a protection order, child endangerment, aggravated burglary and aggravated kidnapping. He’s currently being held on a $500,000 bond. Soon, he may be not-alone in a prison cell, wondering what’s hiding under his prison bed.
