I really thought that Elon Musk and DOGE fatigue would have set in, and I’d be able to be less disturbed at the continuing trend of alarming news regarding them. But apparently, not only has that ship sailed, it sank in shallow, shark infested emotional waters. “Because Elon” and DOGE, you have yet another major health worry you didn’t have before the end of January. And this time, you really have no clue if that expensive milk you bought at the store is actually safe to drink. Why? The FDA just announced they have cancelled ilk safety tests. Because, Elon.

ELON AND DOGE JUST FIRED 20,000 EMPLOYEES AT THE FDA, AND MILK SAFETY TESTS ONE CASUALTY
So why in the world would the FDA, charged with keeping our food and drugs safe, cancel their milk quality testing program? Well, it might have a little something to do with the fact that this announcement closely follows some other news, namely that DOGE fired 20,000 Health and Human Services positions. You know, to further how Elon supposedly wants to “streamline” the government? But this is 20,000 people no longer working jobs keeping us safe, and losing milk safety tests is an easy way to understand the stupidity.

Well, ok, it’s not easy to understand stupidity. But Elon is as Elon does. So now, because of this streamlining purge of FDA workers, you won’t know if your carton of milk (or your kid’s) has listeria, bird flu, Cyclospora or brain-eating parasites. And the logic doesn’t get any better from the government, as HHS is backing (or gaslighting for) Elon by saying they already had a plan in hand to close the FDA testing lab that keeps our glass of milk safe. And another domino falls, and my inability to have Because Elon or DOGE fatigue will turn to anger once kids start dying.
It will happen.
