HORROR SCENE AS AUSTIN DRUNK DRIVER HIT’S PEDESTRIAN AND DRIVES ON WITH HEADLESS, MANGLED BODY TO BAR
Drunk drivers are a menace. But everyone knows that. Yet this story shows that even the strictest DUI laws don’t prevent horrors like this. A man in Austin, Texas got drunk and then drove his car. And then tragedy struck. Or rather, the drunk Paul Joseph Garcia, hit a pedestrian with his car, killing them. Their name was Lee Martin Cagle, 55 years old. Garcia hit Cagle at high speed, killing him. Garcia continued, driving with the mangled, headless body, on to a bar. So if that sounds horrific, that’s because it is, in spades.

WITNESSES AT THE SCENE SAW THE ENTIRE HORROR OF KILLED PEDESTRIAN, UP FRONT AND CENTER
Witnesses saw the horror first hand, near Slaughter Lane last weekend. They told police they saw the car hit a pedestrian who had a shopping cart. The car was veering recklessly and there were no headlights on. Then the car drove on, southbound on Menchaca Road. The car was a white, 2014 Ford Focus. So how did the body get in the car? When Garcia hit Cagle, Cagle flew into the air and thru the windshield. But the force of the impact was significant. So there’s no way even a blind drunk Garcia didn’t know anything happened. Especially when there was a pedestrian’s dead body in the car next to him.

CAR HIT PEDESTRIAN SO HARD IT REMOVED BODY PARTS, MADE IT HEADLESS
But the force of the impact was so hard, that it removed Cagle’s head and other body parts. Police found debris and pieces of Cagle on the half mile stretch between the impact and the bar where Garcia stopped. Garcia reportedly got out of the car barefoot, with Cagle’s blood all over him. After police arrived, he failed a field sobriety test and they arrested him. The force of the impact was so hard, the shopping cart bent a two inch galvanized steel post supporting mailboxes at the scene.
Please, folks, don’t ever drink and drive.
