Murder can be just around any hidden corner. Do you suffer from low blood sugar? You may be irritable and a also be a risk to lash out at those around you. Just like the in the Snickers ad, you’re not yourself when you’re hungry. In a sad, disturbing story in Thailand, the combination of hungry and angry proved deadly. This is a true story of what can happen when dinner is slow with cooking mistakes.
Recently, 36-year-old Sakdin Duangphakhon returned home from a day at work. He was living with his mother and father in a one-story house in Buriram, located in southern Thailand. While heading home from work, Sakdin stopped to buy pork for his favorite soup. His father, 65-year-old Ngor, generously offered to prepare dinner. Sakdin agreed, grabbed a bottle of beer and went to sit outside in a hammock to wait for dinner while his father stayed inside and cooked.
MISSING FISH SAUCE INDUCES PSYCHOSIS IN THAILAND
Before too long Sakdin grew hungrier. He left the hammock and went back inside to ask when the pork soup dinner would be ready. But when he saw the fire wasn’t and the soup was taking a lot longer to cook, he became quite angry. But then it got much worse when Ngor informed his son that, on top of the soup not being ready, he also forgot to add fish sauce to the broth. Fish sauce, of course, is the most essential seasoning in Thai cooking. Sakdin was furious his father had wasted his pork, money, and time by not including the staple ingredient. Things quickly got hotter than the slow soup missing fish sauce.

Before anyone knew what was hapening, Sakdin smashed his bottle of beer over his father’s head. As Ngor fell to the ground, his wife, Pa, rushed to his defense. Sakdin slapped his motheraway , knocking her to the floor stunned. He then proceeded to grab a kitchen knife and starting stabbing his father over and over again. Within minutes, Ngor lay dead on the floor. He had 10 stab wounds in his back and chest, more than enough to do the job. Pa ran to a neighbor’s house to call the police.
WHEN YOUR MA IS NAMED PA, DADDY GETS KILLED
When the authorities arrived at the scene, they found Ngor lying dead in a pool of blood. Following a trail of gore from the murder scene, they located Sakdin calmly sitting back in the hammock outside the house. He casually confessed to the murder and police placed him in handcuffs. However, before heading to the police station, officers brought him back into the family house. They had the guilty man act out what happened after his father failed to cook the soup properly.

Finally and totally disgusted with the patricide, before leaving the house, the colonel in charge of the responding police squadron forced Sakdin to kneel next to his father and pray. The murderous son still awaits sentencing at Amphore Nangrong prison in Buriram.
So be warned! Hunger kills.
