SAMANTHA BEE DROPPED THE C-WORD, C69T AND EVERYONE LOST THEIR MIND BUT THIS WHITE CHICK HERE
Samantha Bee called Ivanka a c69t this week and everyone went bananas. I fucking love this word and think that if anyone deserves to be called a c69t its fucking Ivanka.
We call people bad things all the time, but the C-word has really grown on me over the years. I love how it sounds and how powerful I feel when I use it. Context matters of course, but using that word is a choice, and it is often a good choice. I use it when I am angry at any person, no matter the gender. I use it when I’m feeling particularly slighted or belittled. I use it when a woman displays love and affection for her child while her father is separating thousands of children from their parents at the border.

THIS WHITE CHICK THINKS THE C-WORD IS JUST FINE, NEEDS MORE USE
Sam Bee is a comic genius and knew what she was doing. Or at least I thought she did, which is why her apology tweet to Ivanka the next day seemed so out of place. I can’t imagine the writers’ room that day as they discussed whether they should say sorry or not. I wish they had decided to stand behind their segment and their choice to use this powerful word. They clearly made the choice in full knowledge of the potential repercussions, so why not just stick it out?

SAMANTHA BEE SHOULD HAVE STOOD BY HER USE OF C69T
Michelle Wolf got a lot of push-back about her set at the Correspondent’s Dinner this year, but she stood by every word. That endeared me to her even more than I already had been. She knew what she was doing and the people who hired her knew too. The same should go for Sam Bee. She was hired to be an edgy late-night comedian. They knew what they were getting into. So just stick up for it. And don’t get bullied into saying sorry by the biggest bully of our current times: the c69t daughter of a c69t president.
