If you search for stories about cruelty they are very easy to find. They can depress you about humanity, but remember that there are good people too. MOLLY THE POTBELLIED PIG WAS SAVED ONLY TO BE ADOPTED BY AN AWFUL CANADIAN COUPLE
All the staff at the British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals were shocked to hear the news, according to worker Leon Davis. Davis worked hard and lovingly to help bring back the potbellied pig Molly back to health after she and many other pigs ended up their care. Her previous owners abused her. But Davis did all he could to save her. The staff at the shelter thought they were sending Molly to a great home. But this couple felt that keeping and caring for a pet pig much more difficult than they had imagined. So, they instead of bringing the big back, they slaughtered and ate their pet.
