THE TRUMP 2.0 INAUGURATION MOVING INDOORS, PROVING IT MAY INDEED BE A COLD DAY IN HELL
To get this started, it’s not a hit piece. But that being said, this presumes that nearly half the voting public in America hasn’t actually lost their damn minds. You know, because they voted for Donald Trump. Because I seriously thought it would be a cold day in hell before we could every possibly have a literal cretin like Donald Trump as president of the United States. Again, anyway. But apparently the cold day in hell arrived on the very same day that Trump is set to formally resume his orange occupation of the Oval Office. Such a cold day, in fact, that it’s been 40 years since the last time it happened.

BUT IS IT REALLY THE COLD (DAY IN HELL?), OR IS IT THE LIKELY POOR TURNOUT OF TRUMP SUPPORTERS?
And, to be fair, I had vicarious similar feelings about Ronald Reagan starting his second term, as well. But hey, I was a kid, and came from (mostly) a family of progressives. Or what we would now call progressives today, anyway. But while cold is expected in Washington, DC next week, I’m not entirely sure that’s the whole, frigid rationale for moving the Trump 2.0 Inauguration inside. Because besides a woman saying no (or laughing at him publicly), Trump simply can’t handle all the necessary obfuscation needed to hide just how few people would be likely to show up. Because of the cold, you know?

And while Reagan had to have his moved inside 4 decades ago, I think it’s safe to say that one thing Reagan and his people never had to worry about was low turnout. They simply moved it inside because it was too cold. But Trump is playing his presidential cred, making comments about how he doesn’t want people like cops and other personnel in dangerous cold conditions. And while that sounds reasonable, he also added his safety concerns for the “hundreds of thousands” of his supporters who would have shown up. And here we are, approaching a now scheduled day in hell.
But to all those people who voted for this guy, we shall all reap what you have sown. Yes, that photo above is from the Capitol Riot, with Trump supported battling police.
