WILL DEMS FOLLOW THE EVIDENCE, OR THE POLLS LEADERSHIP HIDES BEHIND?
So Robert Mueller was finally in public, testifying before Congress this week. But he had a very, VERY narrowly defined spread of what he was allowed to talk about. Why? Because Trump crony Bill Barr runs the DOJ. But also, because Robert Mueller already did his damn job. So essentially, Robert Mueller appeared and answered questions from both Democrats and Republicans. And all he talked about, for the most part, was the Mueller Report itself. But why? Well, mostly because most Americans don’t seem to know, STILL, that the Mueller report did NOT exonerate President Trump. So America was subjected to some political theater where Democrats wanted the media to actually report what the report says. Republicans, for the most part, wanted to talk about anything else. So for Dems, nothing has really changed. So do they follow polls or do they follow the evidence?

CONGRESSIONAL DEM LEADERSHIP STILL SAYS NO TO IMPEACHING TRUMP, IGNORING MUELLER REPORT
Nancy Pelosi immediately reiterated that Impeachment is off the table. Adam Schiff pretty much did the same, saying that impeachment is only functional if you can actually remove the President in question. Since Senate Republicans wouldn’t vote to confirm an impeachment process on Trump even if they caught him holding Jeffrey Epstein’s hand in situ at a Brownie camp, it makes a certain sense. But does it really make good sense in the short, medium or long term? I for one don’t think so. 40% of Democrats in Congress don’t think so, either. If you read the Mueller Report, you do, too.

THERE’S EVERY REASON TO IMPEACH TRUMP, IF ONLY TO PUBLICIZE THE EVIDENCE AGAINST HIM
So why impeach Donald Trump? Well, for one he’s simply incompetent as President of the United States. Second, he’s a crook. He’s likely been a crook for decades. Third? He’s, at a minimum, actively or tacitly worked with Russia’s assistance to get elected. That, in tandem with Trump and most of his friends doing their best to make money in that process, and via those relationships with Russia. But it’s also good sense to impeach Trump. It’s also good politics. If it takes Congress impeaching Trump to actually inform most Americans of what was really in the Mueller Report, do it. The impeachment process itself will uncover even more. We call that discovery.
So if senate Republicans are willing to shield Trump despite all of that, hang that around their electoral necks for the next generation. But for now, it’s clear Dems will follow (totally flawed, irrelevant) polls instead of the evidence that the President of the United States is a crook. Time to go read 1984 again. And again. And again. But then go bang your head against a wall. Rinse, repeat.
