A DUTCH YOUTUBER AND HIS BUDDY WANTED TO SEE AREA 51, BUT POLICE ARRESTED THEM INSTEAD
I miss the X-Files. This could totally have been a contemporary episode. But I’m a little confused about what these two were thinking. It seems that there was a joke event on Facebook, the “Storm Area 51, They Can’t Stop All of Us.” Well, it started as a joke. But it went viral and became a since cancelled 4-day Alienstock that was to have happened in Rachel, Nevada. But despite that, a Dutch YouTuber and his friend came to Nevada and decided to trespass on government land. So as you might imagine, authorities arrested the two on the spot.

AREA 51 STILL SEEMS TO BE A SOURCE OF CONSPIRACIES, AND A MAGNET FOR IDIOTS
Area 51 has been a source of conspiracy theories and fantasies as the location where alien bodies, ships and all sorts of stuff were (or are, still) stored. You can’t help but to have seen references to it in countless movies and TV shows, going back decades now. So I can see how some youngsters might be foolish enough to stupidly trespass on a secure government site. Nevada’s Nye County Sheriff’s Office announced that they arrested 20-year-old Dutch YouTuber Ties Granzier and his 21-year-old friend, Govert Charles Wilhelmus Jacob Sweep. And yes, that is a long name. The two had driven about 3 miles into the Nevada National Security Site when authorities arrested them.

So come, guys. The name of the place itself tells you not to go there. But all those signs telling you not to trespass were pretty clear, as well. But the two told authorities they wanted to see the facility. But the YouTuber, Granzier, has over 730,000 followers. So you might correctly assume he was getting feed for his followers fodder. That means he was grandstanding for publicity. As you can imagine, they two now lament the fact that they are in jail. Police report that the two hope not to spend every day in jail before their planned return home on September 19th. But for now, they’re in jail. Sure, the truth is out there.
But the other truth is that you are in there, you idiots.
