Kids get acne. It’s one of those truths almost no one escapes in their horny teens. So are you a horny teen who needs help with their acne problems? Here’s what to do. Most kids don’t actually need a drug or doctor’s help to fix their acne. What they need is to do a few simple things every day that will seem obvious later. Acne happens when your face isn’t clean. Hormones also cause or lead to acne. But there’s more to fixing acne than just that.
Adolescence is an aaaaaawkward time for everyone. But when it comes to your face, the hormonal changes in your body cause extra oily skin. That means your pores get blocked. And then you likely get acne. For girls, this is especially true with the extra hormonal changes they have every month. Usually, acne clears up when your hormones go back in balance. But this is adolescence! Some very few might need help with a real hormonal imbalance. But that’s rare.
NEVER EAT JUNK FOOD
Want to fix your acne? Stop eating shitty junk food right now. It’s full of fat, sugars, lots of calories, additives you can’t pronounce. None of that is good for you. They also don’t give you the nutrients you need (and your face needs!). Some canned foods, fried foods, processed meats should also be avoided if you have acne. Seriously, stop eating crappy food if you want a face free of acne. When you eat crappy foods, they screw with your blood sugar as well. That leads to acne too.
Besides not eating junk food, you can eat foods and supplements that contain spirulina, chlorophyll, zinc, and fish oils. These all help restoring your face’s skin and help prevent acne. Probiotics are also good to maintain a better balance in your body. Your body is out of whack and needs this kind of help. Adolescence sucks! So eat some yogurt, try some yogurt drinks.
KEEP YOUR FACE CLEAN!
Wash your face with soap at least twice a day. Maybe roll out of bed every morning and wash your face with soap! But don’t do this TOO MUCH, or the soap will strip your face of the oils it does actually need. And guys, you can also try doing a fruit mask from time to time. Skincare products with salicylic can work as well.
DRINKING WATER AND SLEEPING
You have simply got to drink a lot of water. Like, 8 glasses a day of water. And yes, everyone has at least one teacher that’s a jerk about bathroom breaks. But you need this water. It helps clear your system of toxins (like those that cause acne!) and it keeps your skin moisturized from within. And sleeping? You are a teen! That means you’re still growing. If you don’t sleep you don’t grow. It also means you don’t heal! When you have enough sleep, it also helps balance all the craziness with your hormones. So teens, aim for 8 hours every night.
