FOX NEWS GOES ALL IN: BLAMES PRESIDENT BIDEN FOR LETTING HURRICANE HILARY ACORSS THE BORDER
I’m an off-an-on again kind of news junkie. So I guess that translates as someone who either obsesses with news depending on the day, to simply inhaling more than a generally healthy amount of hard to decipher reality context. But that being said, I can’t say that I have ever gone down what we now know as the rightwing news rabbit hole. So no Newsmax or Fox News, like ever. Reality is hard enough to decipher, you know? Yet something in me simply knew that the illiterative perfection of a Hurricane named Hillary was going to go somewhere bad and ridiculous. And sure enough, Fox News stood at full virtual Viagra propaganda attention and blamed President Biden for Hurricane Hilary.

MISINFORMATION NO LONGER REQUIRES NUANCE, WHEN HURRICANE HILARY IS A LIBERAL PLOT
So it seems my instinctual assumptions were not up to par on this one. Word games are one thing. A good pun is to die for, after all, when it comes to daily life. But even more so when it comes to headlines. But Fox News, lacking any form of institutional shame as it does, saw an opportunity to go for a twofer at the least. On Sunday night’s “The Big Weekend Show,” the host ran an intro that included this amazing call for intellectual meds: “The big story tonight: The wrath of Tropical Storm Hilary. 42 million desperate souls in the path of the storm which made landfall in Mexico several hours ago. But they let it right into the country because it’s Biden’s America.”

HURRICANE HILARY WAS ILLITERATIVE OPPORTUNITY THAT COULDN’T BE PASSED UP
So the twofer there is all about the border, Hillary Clinton and President Biden. You see, American Presidents who are Democrats allow hurricanes to simply cross our borders because they’re soft on immigration. And triple that for the Hurricane named Hilary. But I would be remiss if I didn’t note the threefer in this amazing, misinformation propaganda rant. Because the Fox News host continued, “Its impact far from over. This is the first tropical storm to hit California since 1939, when Joe Biden started his Senate career.” Get it? President Biden is old. And here I am stuck in the reality context of wondering what will come next in the world (and America) when it comes to climate change calamity.
Oh, and I better mention that while Hurricane Hilary is impacting some red states, too, California is suffering the brunt. And California is no longer the bulwark it once was for the Republican Party. Plus, a lot of people in southern California speak Spanish, too!
