LOCALS IN NORTHERN FRENCH TOWN STUNNED TO SEE BLACK PANTHER PROWLING AROUND ON ROOFTOPS
So I don’t really know all that much about French culture. But sure, I’ve been there. But there’s a lot more to France than just visiting Paris. I’ve certainly heard a lot about small town French cuisine and culture. But there’s just so much history pretty much in every Podunk spot you can find anywhere in Europe. Yet every once in a while, totally strange stuff happens over there as well. It’s like Florida, but in France. So yes, that’s how I’m going to segue into the fact that there was a black panther prowling around on rooftops in northern France.

BLACK PANTHER WAS HANGING OUT ON 2ND STORY LEDGE, IN AND OUT OF OPEN WINDOW
So I’m not sure how I missed this as it was just over a month ago. But I suppose we have plenty of strange news over in the US all the time these days, right? Yet this kind of thing is not anywhere near normal for pretty much anywhere. But northern France? The black panther was doing its thing in a small town, Armentières, which is near Lille. But the residents of Armentières got to see something they could never have expected. There it was, a black panther hanging out on a second story ledge. It was also going in and out of an open window there, as well.

LOCAL POLICE MADE A CORDON, BUT VETS QUICKLY ARRIVED TO TRANQUILIZE THE PREDATORY BEAST
So imagine this happening in your neck of the woods. And by woods I don’t mean woods at all. I mean a black panther in your damn town, prowling around ledges and rooftops. Maybe even over your own head! Better close that window. Police cordoned off the immediate area as black panthers can, um, jump like champions. But it stayed on the same building’s ledge and veterinarians quickly arrived. Fortunately, one vet was able to safely shoot the large cat with a tranquilizer dart and no one, kitty included, sustained any injuries.
The gorgeous animal was only about 6 months old. So it was only the size of a Labrador dog, so far. So how did this happen? Well, it’s a domesticated black panther. And yes, I know. It simply wandered out of its home. But for one 16-year-old girl, it was a brie scare when it entered her apartment. But now she can always say, “I tawt I taw a puddy cat!”
