16 FRIENDS GIVE IN TO TEMPTATION, HAVE A NIGHT OUT, NOW HAVE CORONAVIRUS
So most major religions include themes about how to avoid temptation. Or, rather, how important it is to avoid temptation. And right now, we’re all suffering from temptation. Coronavirus has upended our lives for months now. And the weather is nicer. The sun is out. We miss our peeps, and going out with our peeps. But because of something else we also associate with major religions, people are getting sick. We call that denial. Well, and politics. But denial and politics are opening up some states too soon. WE ALL FEEL THE TEMPTATION, BUT NEED TO FEEL THE RISK OF INFECTION EVEN MORE
One of the 16 is a woman who is a healthcare worker, Erika Crisp. She and her friends went out to celebrate the end of the lockdown with a night on the town in Jacksonville. And testing confirms they all have Covid infections. That’s right, Coronavirus. And Erika now says that they were all “careless” for having gone out. You’d think a healthcare worker would know better. But that’s the thing about temptation. It’s powerful. And with this pandemic, it’s especially dangerous.

GIVE IN TO TEMPTATION EVEN ONCE, AND IT COULD MEAN YOUR LIFE IN THIS PANDEMIC
Erika is 40, so she’s lucky she was only sick for 8 days. But now she’s certain about one thing. Florida businesses should not have opened so soon. And she’s warning everyone to continue to practice social distancing. Too bad there is no lockdown in Florida anymore. And as for the bar they went to, Lynch’s Irish Pub, it’s not open due to cleaning. The owners say they will keep it closed if any of their staff also test positive for Covid. But people, take note. ONE NIGHT OUT got all these people sick with Covid. They were careless ONCE. That’s all it takes.
