How to Eat Fruit When On a High Protein Diet to Help WIth Everything

WHAT FRUIT SHOULD YOU EAT TO AUGMENT YOUR HIGH PROTEIN DIET THAT HELPS WITH EVERYTHING?

Eating right is always the key to training, dieting, improving your health or just trying to live longer.  But eating enough protein can be a challenge, regardless of your short or long-term goals.  I fall into the category of aging but not really losing my high metabolism.  So that means I have to work extra hard to eat enough protein, while challenging my body to keep working to make muscle.  Well, or maintain it.  But eating focusing on a high protein diet, and augmenting with specialized shakes, leaves a lot out of my diet I still need.  So it’s a really good thing, knowing which kinds of fruit also have some strategic protein, too.

ADD SPECIFIC FRUIT TO MAKE YOUR STRATEGIC HIGH PROTEIN DIET EVEN BETTER

And fruit provides a lot of other great nutrients, especially if you’re training hard.  Don’t forget they have fiber, vitamins as well as antioxidants.  Sure, fruit isn’t going to have the same amount of protein that beans, nuts, seeds and legumes have.  But adding some specific fruit to your high protein diet will give you some more protein, and the natural sugars they contain are actually good for you, and gives you energy for both your every day and exercise regimen.  And let’s face it, eating fruit also gives you Vitamins A, C, E and D.  But you can also really benefit from the potassium, magnesium, fiber, plant compounds and antioxidants they also provide.

FRUIT THAT ALSO HAS PROTEIN DELIVERS LOTS OF OTHER ESSENTIAL NUTRIENTS, EVERY DAY

While you shouldn’t expect to only eat these fruits to get enough protein, adding them is simple and easy and comes with all the benefits we’ve already talked about.  And the best of the fruit world high (for fruit) in protein are passion fruit, with 5 grams per 1 cup; jackfruit, with 2.9 grams per 1 cup of raw slices; pomegranate, with 2.9 grams per 1 cup of seeds, (arils); apricots, with 2.3 grams per 1 cup raw sliced, or 4.4 grams per 1 cup dried; blackberries, with 2 grams per 1 cup; guava, with 1.4 grams per single fruit; raisins, with 1.4 grams per 1.5 ounce box; 1.2 grams per orange; 2.3 grams per grapefruit.  See?  It’s easy to add healthy fruit to augment your high protein diet.

And let’s not forget cantaloupe!  It has 1.3 grams of protein per 1 cup cubed and raw.  Maybe add some prosciutto?  And avocado!  It has 3 grams per cup.  Maybe make some guacamole!
