BRITISH COLUMBIA BEACHES FULL OF DEAD HUMAN FEET
Have you ever been to British Columbia? Well, it’s in Canada. People who know it think it’s a beautiful place. Regular visitors know BC for its amazing skiing, the incredible views of gorgeous landscapes, and let’s not forget the 2010 Winter Olympics. But now, we all will know BC for something else, something really disturbing. Over the last nine years, something quite strange has been happening on the beaches of British Columbia. And what would that be? Human feet have been found, washed up on its shores. To be precise, beginning in 2007, 14 human feet have been found on BC beaches. All of them were still in the running shoes their owners had on, presumably when they died.
8 PAIRS OF IDENTIFIED FEET, THE REST UNIDENTIFIED AND MALE
As of today, the provincial coroner’s office has managed to identify eight of the twelve feet. But yes, the mat is off. Two of those were pairs. All we know about the remaining anonymous feet is that they belonged to men. The years 2012-2016 were a “dead” period, when no one found any feet washed up on the beaches. Then in February of last year a hiker found another one on Botanical Beach, in Vancouver Island. But just five days later another foot appeared, clad in a running shoe. But those two were a matched pair. It’s quite the strange situation.

BRITISH COLUMBIA RESIDENTS THINK THIS IS NOW NORMAL, NO BIG DEAL
Residents in BC have gotten used to this happening and no one gets upset about it anymore. But it does keep happening. But people do for sure speculate about what’s happening with all these human feet popping up on beaches. And, of course, there are the pranksters at work too. “We’ve had people put dog foot skeletons in runners and leave them on the beach. And somebody even used old chicken bones, said Barb McLintock, from the coroner’s office. But theories have included natural disasters, drug dealers, serial killers and even human traffickers.

FEET FROM SUICIDES? NO. FOUL PLAY? NO. DISTURBING MYSTERY
Regardless, McLintock has made it clear none of those theories apply. The coroner’s office is convinced all of these feet were from suicides or accidental deaths. But why have these feet only appeared in recent years? The coroner’s office says it could be changing tidal patterns. They also say that newer sneaker materials offer better protection and floatation. But still, that’s a lot of stinky feet.
