JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI RESIDENTS CALL POLICE, DOG CARRYING HUMAN ARM IN ITS MOUTH
Last weekend, residents of South Jackson, Mississippi realized something was clearly wrong when they saw a dog walking around carrying an arm in its mouth. Not an arm from a mannequin. But a human arm. They understandably called police who responded at the scene. They managed to get the arm from the dog, and started searching for the rest of the body. It took some time, but they managed to locate most of the body in an abandoned house in the woods. And by most of the body, we’re talking about the body itself, with the other limbs. But the head is still missing.

POLICE RESPOND AND LATER FIND REST OF BODY, THOUGH THE HEAD IS STILL MISSING
Just imagine if this was a Halloween weekend story! The gruesome discovery happened last Saturday. We still don’t know many details, other than the fact that the body “appears” to be that of a white male. But just hearing that gives me more unease. We know that the body was missing an arm, because the dog had it, prompting the calls to Jackson police. We also know that they found most of the body, sans head. So how is it that the victim only “appears” to be a white male? Does this mean that there was even more dismemberment? Usually, it doesn’t take a coroner too long to discern the gender of a body.

DETAILS ARE STILL SCARCE, BUT THIS JACKSON, MISSISSIPPI MURDER IS CLEARLY DISTURBING
But not this time, it appears. Jackson, or the City of Jackson, Mississippi, is the capitol of the state and its most populous, at around 153,000 people. But this dog with human arm and body missing head story marks the 117th homicide in the city so far in 2022. This murder victim makes the city’s homicide tally just under 20% higher than the national average. And clearly, this murder will prove to be a disturbing one as we learn more from the police investigation.
