MIRACLE CORGI GOES OVERBOARD, SOMEHOW SWIMS 7 MILES TO SHORE IN AMAZING STORY
Corgis are simply amazing little dogs. Besides having an appallingly high cuteness level as puppies, they are incredibly smart little dogs. Sure, the Queen of England seems to have more than a passing fondness for the Welsh canines. But maybe there’s a good reason why. Like, they are brilliant, nice people stuck in little doggy bodies. Regardless, here’s another story that shows how amazing they really are. A 1 year old Corgi with the name of Jessica fell overboard off her owners’ boat and somehow the young dog swam 7 miles to shore! If that’s not some kind of miracle, I don’t know what is.

BOAT OWNERS SUDDENLY REALIZED JESSICA THE CORGI WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND ONBOARD
Her owner, Atwood, had taken Jessica along to keep him company when he took his vessel north to North Carolina. But they didn’t get far when he realized Jessica was missing while still in the Intercoastal Waterway in Brevard County, Florida. Atwood realized she was gone from the Change of Pace as he passed under the State Road 520 Bridge. He and his family immediately anchored the boat, launched an inflatable and headed back south looking for their young Corgi. I don’t know if you’ve ever lost a pet. But it’s pretty darn stressful. I can only imagine how desperate they were hunting for their lost pup.

AFTER DESPERATE SEARCH FOR SEVERAL DAYS, MIRACLE CORGI FOUND 7 MILES AWAY
Making matters even more concerning, Jessica had never even been in water before. So the family didn’t even know if she knew how to swim. So they also quickly posted on Facebook about the missing Corgi, which added a bunch of Brevard locals to the hunt. Two local fishermen searched thru the night last Sunday into Monday morning. But no signs of Jessica were to be had. Unfortunately, Atwood received a lot of bogus calls from people saying they found the Corgi, but would only send a picture if he sent them money first. But finally, the real call came in from a man in Rockledge, 7 miles away, who really had found Jessica. And when Atwood tried to give him $500 as reward, the Samaritan declined!
Now, I have to seriously think about getting a Corgi. Again.
