LOUIE GOHMERT, TEXAS REP, ASKS US FOREST SERVICE TO CHANGE THE MOON’S ORBIT
So I don’t know what to make of this one. Sure, I read political news almost every damn day. And I’m totally familiar with the name of the Texas Rep, Louie Gohmert. He’s a tool of the highest order. And these days, with the Big Lie “Stolen Election” stupidity the Republican Party is using for fundraising, that’s a major accomplishment. But Louie Gohmert is stupid. STUPID. I mean, really. We’re not talking about the run of the mill stupidity here. We’re talking about a man who literally asked a representative of the US Forest Service if they could change the Moon’s orbit. No, really. This happened. This man is a member of the United States Congress!

GOHMERT THINKS CHANGING MOON’S ORBIT POSSIBLE, TO FIGHT CLIMATE CHANGE
So, yes, there is video of this, which I’m not even bothering to include a link to here. If you really feel the need to hear this, it’s not hard to find. Simply Google: Gohmert, Moon. I, for one, can’t even stomach the idea of hearing this man say something so stupid, out loud, in public, as a representative of some unfortunate people in Texas. I mean, changing the orbit of the Moon? Really? Well, yes. But why, you ask, would he ask this question? Well, climate change, of course. Gohmert believes in the science of climate change. And, he understands the science from NASA, that the moon’s orbit is changing ever so slightly as is Earth’s path around the sun.

So if you still don’t get Gohmert’s logic, he thinks that changing the Moon’s orbit could help us out with climate change. Well, at least he didn’t ask the US Forest Service if they could change the Earth’s orbit around the sun? I don’t know. But consider this. US Texas Rep Louie Gohmert asked a US Forest Representative if they could alter the orbit of our Moon, which has a 1,079.4 miles radius. I just, I don’t know. This happened. It defies any explanation other than: STUPID. If you find and watch the video yourself, you’ll see and hear the US Forest rep reply that they’ll have to get back to him on that.
