WESTBORO BAPTIST CHURCH JACKASSES SCHOOLED BY METALHEADS WITH KAZOOS
So have you heard about the awful and disgusting Westboro Baptist Church? The people in that church show up to protest or demonstrate where they are the least wanted, like funerals of people they consider to be unchristian. They are pretty much despicable. But they are still active. So recently, they showed up to demonstrate against Del. Danica Roem. Roem is Virginia’s first and only transgender lawmaker. So the Westboro folks hate Roem. That’s what they do. If it’s new, they hate it. If it challenges their fantasy patriarchy, they hate it. But seriously, these jackasses don’t discriminate who they discriminate against. But anyway some local metalheads decided to show up to counter protest in support of Roem, armed with kazoos.

METALHEAD FAN OF TARGETED REP. ASKED FANS TO SHOW UP AND KAZOO CHRISTIAN BIGOTS
So how did this all come to pass? Well, Roem used to be a metalhead! And local metalheads didn’t like the idea of Westboro Baptist Church showing up making their own brand of stink. So the Richmond based metalhead singer Randy Blythe decided to come out in support of Roem. He fronts the well-known band Lamb of God. But he’s also a friend of Roem’s. So he organized what he called a “counter-party.” So he put out the call to all his fans to get dressed up in the most absurd costumes they could possibly put together. But he also promised to hand out free kazoos to anyone who showed up to properly serenade the hateful Westoboro Church folks.

So Blythe said, “These people are coming out and speaking a bunch of ignorance about my friend. I don’t like that. So we came out and just drowned them out. That’s the easiest way. There’s no point in engaging these people.” But it’s really hard to argue with his sentiment. The Westboro Church protestors routinely inject themselves in the most, can I say it, evil ways that they can. So it’s nice to see someone respond to them with such an appropriate tool set: mocking satire and kazoos.
