MISSOURI WOMAN UNDER ARREST AFTER POISONING HUSBAN’S MOUNTAIN DEW WITH WEED KILLER
Marriage is an institution. But institutions always have some trouble. There are communication breakdowns, unforeseen issues and calamities, and occasionally random things just make everything break down. But with marriage, the binary (excepting cases of polygamy, of course) dynamic means both people have to be on the same page. And to be honest, for many people, that can be a rarity. But when one of the two go off the page and into a crazy bonfire, you have a total institutional failure. That’s one generous way to explain a Missouri woman who poisoned her husband’s Mountain Dew with weed killer.

WEED KILLER POISONING WAS BECAUSE HUSBAND DIDN’T APPRECIATE HIS 50TH BIRTHDAY PARTY
Like all things with marriage, there are a lot of little things that can take things out of bliss. And then there’s the straw that broke the camel’s back. It’s not clear what happened here, but the Missouri woman, one Michelle Peters, aged 47, from Lebanon (Missouri) had a bone to pick with her husband. It seems he wasn’t pleased or grateful with the 50th birthday party she put together for him. And, well, she held just a bit of a grudge. So much so, that she not only had the idea in her head of poisoning his Mountain Dew with weed killer, she actually did it.

MISSOURI WOMAN IS ON VIDEO PUTTING WEED KILLER IN MOUNTAIN DEW FOR A MONTH
Her husband got suspicious over how he was feeling, and went to meet with a detective with the Laclede County Sheriff’s Office just over a week ago, telling the officer he believed his wife was poisoning him. In the beginning of May, he got sick after drinking Mountain Dew he keeps in a refrigerator in the garage. After a couple weeks he had a sore throat, coughing up copious amounts of mucus with vomiting. So he knew something was definitely wrong when he looked at video footage of the garage, showing his wife putting Roundup, aka weed killer, in his soda.
Peters now faces charges of 1st-degree domestic assault as well as armed criminal action. One of these binaries needs a criminal defense attorney. The other? A divorce lawyer.
