NIPAH VIRUS HAS ONLY KILLED 2 HUMANS THIS YEAR, BUT THAT WAS NEVER POSSIBLE BEFORE
And yes, this is scary with easy reasons to understand. So far this year, only two people have died from Nipah. But that low death count so far isn’t a reason to not be concerned. It’s the fact that anyone has died that makes this yet another anxiety of what might happen. Until now, humans could only get Nipah from bats, with the first known human infections having been pig farmers in Malaysia back in 1999. Back in those good old days, one human couldn’t give another human the Nipah virus. But those days are gone, and this new virus could become a serious problem around every next corner as time goes on.

They include fever, headaches, vomiting, seizures, coma, trouble breathing, as well as brain swelling.
