ARMY VETERANS HOME IN TAIWAN HIRED EROTIC DANCERS TO ENTERTAIN RESIDENTS
I’m not that old yet, but I’m old enough to wonder about my later years. Will I be alone in a nursing home? And if so, will I have good, safe care from good people? And will it be a stimulating environment that will help keep me around? Because that can be challenging for nursing homes to provide. Many do their best to create engaging environments for their residents, with activities and performers. But the state run Teoyuan Veterans Home in Taiwan is in some hot water for their efforts. They hired an erotic dancer!

EROTIC DANCERS PERFORMED FOR RESIDENTS IN WHEEL CHAIRS, AND THEY WERE HAPPY
So my first reaction is that’s amazing! My second reaction is, um, maybe that’s too stimulating? My third reaction is, who cares, that’s still amazing! Because it really happened, just recently at this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival. The veterans nursing home hired an erotic dancer and she was popular! But everyone, of course, wore good face masks in these Covid times. But the outside public got wind of this, and the puritans are up in arms, demanding their pound of flesh. You know, metaphorically. You may not approve either, who knows? But I think it’s harmless fun, especially as no veterans at the nursing home had a heart attack from overstimulation.

She exotic dancer did her job well, by all accounts. Some residents got hand on during the performance, with others clapping along with enthusiasm. The raunchy performance seemed to be more than welcome! But the nursing home had to issue a statement of apology, saying, “The intention of the event was to entertain residents and make them happy. We are very sorry for the offense that was caused.” Personally, I think it’s a damn shame they have to do that. Because they likely won’t hire an erotic dancer ever again. Moving forward, it will likely just be a game of bingo and karaoke.
Here’s hoping for some overstimulation for me in my later years!
