NEW PANDEMIC DRONE CAN SEE IF YOU HAVE A FEVER, NOT PRACTICING SOCIAL DISTANCING
So I’m a little on the fence with this news. Sure, we need to do a better job with how we enforce social distancing. Well, and to protect everyone from people who have Coronavirus who are out and about, endangering others. But that image looks a whole hell of a lot like how the fictional Predators from the movies see people they are about to kill, right? So, obviously these new Draganfly drones can detect temperatures. So much so, in fact, that they will be able to see who has a fever and who doesn’t. Even more, the pandemic drones can measure if people are within less than 6 feet of each other. You know, social distancing?

So yes, we need to do a better job with detection and enforcement. But we wouldn’t need it so damn badly if people in the White House would finally get ahead of the game, for one, and stay on message. Like, seriously. But since a LOT of people out there are STILL not taking this seriously, we just may need something like this pandemic drone. It’s made by the company, Draganfly, inc. They’ve evidently been around for over 20 years already. The new pandemic drone is based on quadcopter drones that Westport, Connecticut police already use. They will add new software and some hardware features as well.

It’s pandemic drone social distancing made easy. Operators will see people with a green circle around them when they’re over 6 feet from anyone else. But within that range? They will have the grace of a red circle, instead. Police can then use the pandemic drone’s speakers to inform people to get away from each other, or to report to the hospital if they have a fever. Really. Even scarier? They can see your heart rate, to boot. As well as “respiratory abnormalities” as well. Hmmm. Don’t smoke outside then. Because the pandemic drone just might see you and get the wrong idea.
Sure, they say the pandemic drones will only work in public areas. But you know how that goes, right?
