OHIO PRINGLES POO CAN TOSSING LAWYER SET TO PRACTICE LAW YET AGAIN

I’m not sure how I missed the news of the Pringles poo can tossing lawyer. And yes, that is a literal descriptive title of an Ohio laywer, Jack Blakeslee. Apparently, Blakeslee was caught on a surveillance camera in November of 2021 dropping (aka tossing) a Pringles potato chip can in the parking lot of a crime-victim advocacy center. And yes, we’re talking about the lawyer filling the can with his own feces (aka poo) in preparation for what he called a “prank.” Maybe I’m old-fashioned, but that’s a bit more than throwing eggs at a door. And then there’s the conflict of interest.

And what could that be? Well again, we’re talking about a crime-victim advocacy center. In other words, a group of people who help advocate for the interests of people (and, presumably, the family members of) violent crimes. And that means they work to help ensure that they get justice for whatever crimes they suffered. And Blakeslee? He just so happened to be representing someone accused of committing a capital murder case. And, he tossed his Pringles poo can a mere 15 minutes before he was to meet with these advocates in court. For some reason, the Ohio Supreme Court wondered if this was cause to question Blakeslee’s fitness to even practice law.

And that brings us to their suspending his license to practice law for 6 months, which is about to end as it began last November. I hope he learned his lesson, especially considering how Blakeslee said he had done the same prank at least 10 times in 2021.
