HIDDEN VALLEY AND SOME BORED SCIENTISTS TURN RANCH DRESSING INTO A 2-CARAT DIAMOND
So I’ve never liked diamonds. Or, I should say, since as a child I discovered that diamonds are actually one of the most common gemstones on the planet. But unlike, say, garnets, diamonds are a totally controlled market across the world, with the prices to match. Yet they remain popular everywhere! Yet here we have a diamond unlike any we’ve ever seen before. It’s a 2-carat diamond that some (likely bored) scientists made out of Ranch Dressing. No joke! If you are a casual salad aficionado who loves dressing, you might want to find out when this thing goes on sale.

RANCH DRESSING DIAMOND TOOK HEAT, COMPRESSION AND MONTHS TO MAKE
So how does one go about making an artificial diamond as large as 2 carats out of Hidden Valley ranch seasoning packets? Well, to start you need some scientists who know how to use some fairly serious hardware. Because first you have to heat the ranch dressing contents from the packets all the way to 2,500 degrees. And no, we don’t know if that’s in Celsius or Fahrenheit. Regardless, we are talking about some serious heat. But the next step is the real kicker that no one can do casually. They then crushed the ingredients with 400 tons of pressure. Then they cured it until it was “ready.”
