INDIANA REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE WINS LOCAL PRIMARY FROM JAIL FOR MURDERING HIS WIFE?
Well, primary season is always inclusive when it comes to some of the more odd, strange news. But this time one item in particular is a bit more than your puzzled head scratch. It’s about a man from Lebanon, Indiana. Yes, the Hoosiers state. I’ve always been curious about that as a basketball fan, despite the fact that the state politics are topically redder than a virgin cherry. But this? The man is one Andrew Wilhoite. He was a Republican candidate for the Clinton Township Board. And he won the primary! Except, he won the primary from jail, for the crime of murdering his wife.

CANDIDATE WILHOITE KILLED HIS WIFE, THREW HER BODY OFF A BRIDGE, CONFESSED TO ALL
Sure, the Republican Party bills itself as the party of family values. And no, I’m not saying that the GOP has any kind of monopoly on hypocrisy. Yet I’m more than puzzled about how the local voters didn’t know about this candidate’s crime. No, not alleged crime. He murdered his wife. He’s in jail. And, even worse? He has already confessed to having done it! And having done it means hitting his wife with a concrete flower pot the size of a gallon, fatally. Then, the Republican candidate threw her body off of a bridge into a local creek this past March. So how’s that for family values?

HOW DID LOCAL INDIANA VOTERS NOT KNOW NOT TO VOTE FOR WIFE MURDERING CANDIDATE?
Maybe I’m harping on the family values line a little. But Wilhoite WON his primary from jail, having confessed to the crime and dumping of his wife’s body! And more people voted for him to win the primary over two OTHER Republican candidates for the seat on the Clinton Township Board. I wonder how those two other candidates feel about this loss? His next court hearing is later this month, on May 27th. So I can only imagine how much the Indiana Republican Party is hoping his trial is a really fast one. Because the ONLY way he won’t be on the ballot in November is if he’s a convict before then.
