Make-a-wish is become truth. This lil dude in San Francisco is named Miles, he has leukemia, and he’s got a really great wish, which you can help with. He’s super into Batman, and on November 2, he’s going to have the lunch of his life by catching the Joker. Except the entire city of San Francisco is going to be in on it. Our friends over at SFist pointed it out first, but here’s Miles’s wish:
After rescuing a damsel in distress from the cable car tracks in Nob Hill, and capturing the Riddler in the act of robbing a downtown vault, Batman will eat his lunch at the Burger Bar in San Francisco – directly above Union Square. While at Burger Bar, he will get a call on his batphone to go to the window – where he will look down and see a huge group of volunteers jumping up and down asking for Batman’s help. Why?
Because the Penguin will be kidnapping a famous Gotham City mascot! The getaway car will be visible on Union Square (a convertible so that everyone can see what is happening), and the chase will be on!
After catching the Penguin, Batman will make his final stop at City Hall, where the Mayor and the Police Chief of Gotham City will thank him and give him the key to the city. We plan on having hundreds of volunteers and donors collected to cheer and thank our Batman!
RIGHT? Isn’t that the best thing in the entire world? Ever? Hundreds of people are going to help Miles have the best burger lunch ever on Nov. 15. If you live in the Bay Area and want to volunteer or simply attend, you’re more than welcome to; the festivities will be taking place from Union Square all the way to City Hall (should be an interesting traffic situation if my Bay Area memory serves me correctly). There’s currently no further information available as to what time or what route they’ll be taking, although according to the site, Miles WILL be “driving” the “real” Batmobile. Which is just awesome.

Flash mobs for Make-A-Wish wishes aren’t uncommon, but this one looks to be a real event replete with a cast of hundreds and a police chase and everything. Several Redditors are already going in costume to make the day that much better for little Miles, who is a brave lil bro if there ever was one. Some are mailing letters to Batman after the event as a special “thanks” for saving the city of San Francisco. Again: this just looks incredibly rad. It’s pretty wonderful when strangers and the Internet come together to brighten a little dude or dudette’s life. We’ll absolutely be sure to post pictures from the event when they become available. This looks like the coolest thing to happen all year in San Francisco. Pretty awesome if we do say so ourselves!
