WAXING A TODDLER WITHOUT PARENTAL PERMISSION IS NOT OKAY
A nineteen-year-old woman was recently outraged by her daughter’s daycare. When she brought her daughter home from daycare she noticed that the skin between her eyebrows was red and irritated. When she looked closer, she noticed that someone had waxed her two-year-old’s uni brow. This occurred without her permission. She was livid. She went straight to social media and posted her complaint on Facebook. But this type of eyebrow waxing happened to another toddler too.
EYEBROW WAXING AND SCREAMING, YOU CAN IMAGINE
Alyssa Salgado of Pasco, Washington dropped her daughter off at a daycare run by the Boys & Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties. When she picked up her daughter she noticed there was irritation between her eyebrows. But later she noticed that someone had removed some of the eyebrow hairs. She wasn’t the only one. Glenda Marie Cruz also dropped off her son at the same daycare to pick him up with waxed eyebrows. Both women have posted their mama rage on Facebook. And it’s gone viral, with over 20,000 shares all over the world. Her son refuses to let her touch his face now.

A spokesperson for the daycare said that after an investigation, the women’s claims are unsubstantiated. Now the toddler eyebrows waxing issue has moved on to a state investigation. They explained “After conducting staff interviews, reviewing documentation and inspecting the physical environment, the Boys & Girls Club has found these accusations to be unsubstantiated. The Washington State Department of Early Learning (the licensing agency for childcare centers) continues to investigate the complaint with the full support and cooperation of the Boys & Girls Clubs.
THE MOMS WILL FIGHT THEM HARD
Salgado however, brought her daughter to the doctor. The doctor confirmed that someone had indeed removed a patch of hair from the little girl’s face. Both moms won’t stop until there is justice for their kids. Waxing toddler eyebrows without the consent of their guardians is not okay.
