NEARLY TOOTHLESS ELDERLY FLORIDA WOMAN BITES BURGLAR AND MAKES HER ESCAPE
So I know that aging comes with a lot of challenges. But for some, that means you don’t have all of your teeth anymore. And that was and is certainly true for the 61-year-old Florida woman who had to defend herself from a burglar earlier this week. So what do you do when crime bites? Well, bite crime, if that’s all you can do. And that’s exactly what Alice Coleman did to the burglar Fitzroy Morton, even though she’s practically toothless. I can only imagine what this experience was like, since I’m not an elderly woman and I’m not alone at home like she is.

BURGLAR FORCED HIS WAY IN WHEN SHE OPENED THE DOOR AFTER FIRE ALARM WOKE HER
Morton forced his way into Coleman’s home Monday night. She was happily asleep until her fire alarm went off. When she opened her front door to see what was going on, Morton forced his way inside. So the nearly toothless Coleman did all she could do, to fight him off. And that included biting the man with the few teeth she has left. She said, “With the little teeth I got, I bit him.” Wow. She continued, “He was telling me, ‘No, mama. Everything gon’ be all right. Everything’s not going to be all right. I’m not your mama. I don’t know who you are. Get out of my house.’” Wow, again. That’s a quote for the ages, right?

SHE BITES, SHE FIGHTS, SHE ESCAPES AND BURGLAR LOCKS HIMSELF IN!
So Coleman fought the burglar off and ran out of her home. So what next in this remarkable story? Morton then locked the door! That’s right, he locked Coleman out of her own home! So Coleman ran to a neighbor’s and promptly called the police. Police managed to catch the bumbling burglar. He now faces three charges, all of them felonies. So far, the courts have denied him bail and he’s still in the Broward County Jail.
She totally took a bit out of crime…. even though she’s nearly toothless!
