HERE ARE THE TOP THREE OPTIONS!
1. You can go to college and learn about something you find incredibly interesting. I studied Art History, which I love, and Italian. Then I became fluent in the language and then was able to study art IN Italy, which is basically the dream. I also studied Child Development and learned a lot about how the brain develops and what we can expect of children at various developmental stages.

2. You can travel a whole bunch. I lived in Italy for four years and traveled all over Europe. I flew one or two hours and got off the plane in places with different languages, cultures, and cuisines. So I learned how to act in a foreign country without being a dumb American, and I learned to appreciate lots of things that were new to me.
3. I have had one career that I then cut short to start a new career. So I was a bilingual preschool teacher and nanny going back to school for Developmental Psychology. Now I am a producer of theatre in NYC. But I would never have been able to move around so much or explore my true professional desires had I gotten hitched and had a kid in my 20s.
I have done a lot of things in my life, and I am still not a mother. I look forward to the moment when I will become one, but I am pleased with all the time I have been able to devote to other things first.
