TORONTO BLUE GAY AWAY DOCTOR NAILED FOR NAILING PATIENTS
This is another Oh, Canada story. In yet another example of how old-school bigotry is alive and well. This time it’s from north of the wall, aka Canadia. Yet again, some things just aren’t better up there. This time one of those quacks who claims to be able to treat the gay away is going down in, well, flames with his own personal drama. One Melvyn Iscove, 72, has been “treating” gay patients into supposed straightness in the city of Toronto. But that “practice” seems to be at an end. The Discipline Committee of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) found Melvyn to have engaged in a bunch of what it calls “professional misconduct.” But that includes his sexually abusing two of his long-term patients. Can you say Toronto Blue Gays? Can you say nailed to the wall?

These two patients testified before the Discipline Committee. They said the doctor had committed sexual misconduct with them as he “treated” them for being gay. The two also related how they had viewed Iscove as a father figure. Iscove used that power within the doctor patient dynamic. He slowly coerced them to have sexual relationships with him for the rest of their therapy sessions. The ick factor is way high here. Such an abuse of power is unforgivable. It’s beyond unprofessional. He should be nailed for it. It’s a shame Iscove’s crimes took so long to come out.

One of the patients saw Iscove for 18 years. He had initially sought his help, fearing that he was gay. 18 years is a long time to have gay sex with your gay away therapist. Iscove had been a practicing Freudian (I know!). Cause, you know, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. But Iscove also followed the theories established by Edmund Bergler. Bergler was an Australian psychoanalyst who viewed homosexuality as a mental problem that begins in infancy. Can you say prejudice and bigotry? It’s some scary stuff.
GAY THERAPISTS CONSIDER HOMOSEXUALITY A TREATABLE CONDITION
But this is where the idea came from, that homosexuality is a condition that can be treated and cured. But pretty much no governing body recognizes this theory as scientific. Among those who oppose this idea of treatment entirely are the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Medical Association, and the American Psychiatric Association. But it is not yet universally banned. And strangely, problems with gay away therapists keep…..coming up.
GAY CURE THERAPY FOR KIDS ONLY BANNED IN ONTARIO, BEWARE THE TORONTO BLUE GAYS
Oddly, this is not the first, second or even the third time that a therapist claiming to be able to cure the gay away has turned out to be…gay. So far the province of Ontario has only banned the therapy from being used on minors, starting in 2015. 10 U.S states have banned the practice entirely as it causes harm to patients. You think? And what is it anyway with gay cure therapists turning out to be gay men? One might make strange assumptions. Like gay away therapists maybe protest too much. Maybe physician heal thyself?
