CANADIAN PACIFIC RAIL FIRES CONDUCTOR FOR SEXY INSTAGRAM PHOTOS, LOSES LAWSUIT
So that’s what a train conductor looks like these days? I had no idea! And if it was up to Canadian Pacific Rail, none of us would! Her name is Stephanie Katelnikoff and, well, she’s pretty hot. But she seemingly made a mistake when she posted photos of herself on Instagram. Why? Because her employer saw her social media feed and said her photos were too sexy. According to them, they violated their “code of ethics and its internet and email policy.” Say what? And then they fired her! And, as you might imagine, she sued them for wrongful termination. But you guessed it, she just won. Unfortunately, she won’t get her conductor job back.

SEXY CONDUCTOR ALSO POSTED CRITICISMS OF PATRIARCHAL, SENSITIVE RAIL COMPANY
So if the sexy train conductor just won her case against them, when did all this happen? Two years ago. So was it just the racy pictures? Well, no. But the sexy pics gave her a lot more exposure. And she also made some uncomplimentary comments about the company as well. But Katelnikoff said, “it seemed their main concern was that my social media content was damaging their reputation.” Well, that’s ironic. Because now Canadian Pacific Rail’s reputation is of a patriarchal, outdated and sensitive business. And that will stick.

NOW A MODEL AND MECHANIC, FORMER CONDUCTOR WILL MISS HER OLD JOB, WELCOME SETTLEMENT CASH
So what now for Katelnikoff? Now, she’s doing double duty as a model and mechanic. But at least she’s in queue to get a monetary award from her former employer, even though her job with them is gone forever. She says she’ll miss being a conductor, “It’s just the best job ever to hop on a freight train and drive through the Canadian Rockies.” Damn straight. I’ve hiked up there. And it’s pristine and perfection. It’s a shame, really. Why does a train company fear sexy pictures of their female employees? It’s just off the rails.
