WHY DID A DONALD TRUMP FAN JUST WHACK A NEW YORK MOB BOSS?
Say what? But no, it’s true. You may not have heard yet, somehow with all the crazy news that Trump drowns out. But someone shot Francesco “Franky Boy” Cali 8 times and then then ran them over with their car last week. Cali was reputedly the head of the Gambino crime family since 2015. He also had close ties to the Sicilian Mafia as well. No one has killed a NY mob boss since the 1980’s! But here’s where it gets weird. The suspect and likely killer is a Staten Island resident and Trump fan, Anthony Comello. Seriously, who whacks mob bosses these days?

SUSPECT’S FAMILY TOTALLY AT A LOSS TO UNDERSTAND MOB BOSS MURDER
So what the hell does this mean? It’s just totally strange. Comello’s family is also totally shocked and says what they’re hearing “makes no sense.” So how do we know that Comello is a Trump fan? Well, when he was in court the other day, the 24-year-old sat in the jury box and made sure we knew. He held up his palms to the cadre of media there. He had scribbled in ink on them “MAGA forever” and United We Stand.” Comello is a local grad of Tottenville High School which is in the Huguenot section of Staten Island. But it’s literally on the opposite side of the island from where he likely killed Cali in front of his home in Todt.

But this is seriously strange and totally weird. Nobody just whacks mob bosses anymore. Can you remember the last time we had a mob war anywhere in the Northeast United States? I can’t either. So why is Cali dead? Who benefits from his death? I’m sure there’s a bit of a list of who does. But what the hell does it have to do with MAGA and President Donald Trump? The answers will be slow to come if the last week’s coverage is any indication. But did Trump want Cali dead because of past business dealings? Or is Comello just some random nut job?
