SMUGGLERS CROSS UGANDA BORDER WITH FAKE BABY, DANGEROUS CONTRABAND
So this is a new one for me. I’ve heard about some crazy smuggling antics. But a smuggler who stuffed illegal contraband in a fake baby? Now, that’s a new one for me! But that’s exactly what happened. Uganda authorities had a nice bust when they caught a smuggler carrying in the contraband in a fake baby. They were coming into Uganda from the Democratic Republic of Congo. But these weren’t your ordinary cosmetic contraband, oh no. They were dangerous goods. So how dangerous were they? Oh, you know, they contained hydroquinone and mercury. That stuff will damage anyone pretty badly.

AUTHORITIES CAUGHT SMUGGLERS WITH PAJAMAS THEY STUFFED WITH BAD COSMETICS
But these smugglers had some brass balls on them, that’s for sure. They took some footie pajamas and stuffed it full with the poisonous goods (or bads, as it were). They tried to cross at the Mpondwe border station. I’ve heard of some crazy stuff before. But this one just might take the cake. As you might imagine, authorities had some serious suspicions about the supposedly sleeping child. It was a lumpy child that didn’t respond to gentle prods or anything else! But that’s because it was no child at all.

CONTRABAND LIKE THIS COMES FROM ALL OVER, ESPECIALLY ASIAN FACTORIES
Clearly, there’s a market for dangerous goods like these everywhere. That’s why smugglers bring it in. As you know, the West always receives this kind of stuff, especially from lowball factories in China. Mercury is a big concern. You can find it in kid’s toys, food of all kinds, even furniture! But people will buy cheap stuff without reading the labels too closely. But sometimes, even reading the labels won’t help you too much! So for all you ladies in particular out there, have a care with what you put on your skin. Sometimes, people have found dangerous substances on moisturizing cream!
