THE WORLD’S FIRST VAGINA MUSEUM SET TO OPEN THIS NOVEMBER IN LONDON
So here we go. There are sex museums aplenty in the world. But so far, there hasn’t been a museum anywhere dedicated to the Vagina. But in just a month, the world’s first Vagina Museum will open. Where? London, of course. So if you want a full education about the vagina, you now know where you can go to learn it all. Or go all the way, one might say. So how did this come to be? Well, there was a crowdfunding campaign. It raised $62,000! So why is this happening? Well, to break the stigma surrounding this hot topic, for one. But also to have a place to host a frank tableau about the reality of vulvas and vaginas. You’d think we don’t need this. But we do!

AFTER SEEING A PENIS MUSEUM IN ICELAND, THE VAGINA MUSEUM FOUNDER KNEW WHAT SHE HAD TO DO
The Vagina Museum’s founder, Florence Schechter, got the idea of the need after she visited Iceland and saw the Icelandic Phallological Museum. If you didn’t work that out, that’s a Penis Museum. She and her team then got to work, starting a campaign on Crowdfunder. So now, the Vagina Museum will open its doors, ahem, on November 16th. It will be located in London’s Camden Market. The first exhibition is, “Muff Busters: Vagina Myths and How to Fight Them.” Well. That’s catchy. But not in a bad way.

SO GET READY! THE MUSEUM PLANS TO EDUCATE, DEMYSTIFY THE VAGINA TO ALL COMERS
The Vagina Museum will also host comedy and theater events, craft workshops and educational talks. Those events will help raise more funds to facilitate a permanent location for the Vagina Museum. It’s mission statement also says the museum will “act as a forum for feminism, women’s rights, the LGBT+ community and the intersex community.” That’s good! It will also “challenge heteronormative and cisnormative behaviour” and “promote intersectional, feminist and trans-inclusive values.” Bravo!
So get ready! But I wonder, can Donald Trump grab an entire museum?
